Gratitude practice is not a new concept. It’s literally been around for centuries! Many of us get stuck in the ‘doingness’ of our busy lives and long term – as I learnt the hard way – that can lead to heightened levels of stress and pressure, drastically affecting both our mental and physical wellness.
Stopping and smelling the roses is a gratitude practice. It’s that moment when you get to literally disengage from stress and pressure, be present and breathe. Imagine yourself doing it now. You remember what it’s like right? You remember how that FEELS? Isn’t it great? And in that moment, can you feel your stress dissipate? Awesome!!!
According to website CNBC:
Keeping a daily journal of moments or events of things you’re grateful for is linked to increased happiness, researchers conclude. And happiness plays an important role in our careers. … Not only does gratitude help boost general well being, it also specifically improves self-esteem.https://www.cnbc.com/2016/11/04/being-grateful-improves-your-chances-of-success-studies-show.html
